Offensive, Discriminatory, or Harmful Language: 

Do: Treat others with respect and foster inclusion.

Do Not: 

• Use or create hateful, derogatory, abusive, discriminatory, or other offensive or harmful language or content. 

• Discriminate against, harass, or attack others on the basis of race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, age, national origin, religion, disability status, or other personal characteristics. 

• Use our platform to promote hate groups or their ideologies or actions. Distribute realistic content or real-life depictions of violence against children or domestic violence.

Harassment and Bullying: 

Do: Be mindful of your interactions with others.

Do Not:

• Use our platform to harass, bully, or threaten others. This includes making sure that you do not communicate other players’ personal information, such as names or physical locations. 

• Attempt to get another player to reveal intimate or personal information.

• Promote, encourage, glorify, or assist with self-harm or eating disorders, including by creating or distributing Creator Content that does so.

• Disrupt or sabotage others’ use of the platform or individual Servers, including by intentionally interfering with other users’ progress or gameplay.

Violence and Illegal Activity:

Do: Promote safety.

Do Not:

• Use our platform to engage in, promote, or encourage illegal activity. 

• Use our platform to incite or encourage violence. 

• Threaten others with physical violence, including threatening to harm someone in real life.

• Participate in activity that is harmful to or endangers children, including but not limited to: the promotion or encouragement of the sexual exploitation of children, such as grooming; the promotion, solicitation, or sharing of child sexual abuse material; or attempting to meet with a child, whether in-person or online. The use of our platform in connection with child sexual abuse material of any kind, even fictional, is not tolerated.

• Encourage or promote the ingestion or inhalation of controlled substances.

Impersonation and Deception:

Do: Use your own account at all times.

Do Not:

• Impersonate HELIX staff, partners, or Creators.

• Impersonate other users, users’ family members, celebrities, influencers, political figures or any other person.

• Participate in deceptive or fraudulent practices.

• Use our platform to attempt to scam other players, including through the sale of fake assets.

• Participate in or encourage unauthorized commercial activity, such as unauthorized lotteries or sweepstakes, or the sale of health supplements.

Intellectual Property:

Do: Use your own original work and respect others’ intellectual property rights.

Do Not:

• Violate the intellectual property rights of any other person or entity. This includes copying or plagiarizing others’ work.

• Use others’ work without permission, including code, scripts, or art.

• Steal assets from other users, sell fake assets or assets that do not work as advertised, or sell assets with malicious code.

Creators and Modders:

Creators and modders play a crucial role, driving innovation and creativity. In order to make sure HELIX remains a safe and welcoming space, in addition to the guidelines set forth above, Creators and modders agree that:

1. Steal assets from other users, sell fake assets or assets that do not work as advertised, or sell assets with malicious code.

2. They will not upload Creator Content containing malicious code, such as content that includes cryptocurrency, spyware, viruses, malware, time bombs, or other code that can interfere with or damage any program, system, or computer.

3. All monetization of Creator Content will be monetized in a manner that is fair to players and HELIX. Creators and modders may not use HELIX Items or modding tools to build paywalled content located outside of HELIX.
